Long ago I recognised the glory of their non-cloggy cheapy creamyness.
I like coloured pencils too, I have a really nice set, but I use them layered with other media and I'd like to get back to using them by themselves and see what I could come up with.
Haha - yeah, I love BIC pens. I love how permanent they are - that whatever mark you make is there to stay. No eraser. It's also nice how cheap and easily available they are.
One of my favorite techniques I use in life drawing is gripping 3 or 4 BIC pens in my fist and using them almost like a paintbrush - like in this drawing, and also this one. I had to be careful with this technique because often times I would rip right through the paper!
I noticed that in your work you also like to layer and experiment with art supplies!

Hi Marc, nice duck!
I'm sorry I didn't respond to your email, I sort of lost it so I don't know your address. I wanted to respond. But I'm here now!
Is there some coloured pencil action happening here?
Hi Chloe - thanks!
Haha - no problem about the e-mail! I figured it got lost as Junk Mail.
Colored pencils and BIC pens are my favorite drawing tools. I believe some of your drawings are with BIC pens too, right?
For sure bic pens!
