All the Heinrich Kley drawings are amazing of course - but there's lots of other cool images on there too - like the Mars Attacks! cards and the colorful photos of diners (LES DINERS DE BAEDER) - great find!
Thanks for posting these Mark! I've been looking for a book that collects Sullivant's work for a while but never came up with anything. I think I was eventually distracted by someone else but I'll definitely have to track some down now. Thanks again and have a good Easter!
Hi Chris - if you can find a book on Sullivant's work you should grab it! A lot of the images I posted are from a library book, but I'd love to see more!
No problem about the name spelling - I consider it a special treat when I see my name spelled correctly!
I found a listing for a magazine called B&W Images #2 that published a complete series of Sullivant's Aesop's Fables spoofs in 2004. Issues #1 looks like it has 70 Sullivant illustrations in it too. I found these on Stuart Ng's site but I haven't called to see if they are in stock still. Just thought I let ya know!
the Jim Vadeboncoeur's B&W Images magazine is available @ : http://www.bpib.com/imagesmagfolder/imagesmag/index.html
and you can find more Sullivant works @ : http://www.coconino-world.com/sites_auteurs/sullivant/index.html and a lot of other good ol' things on the main site : http://www.coconino-world.com/s_classics_v3/index.html

Hi John - I'm happy to help out! I look forward to reading the next installment!
It has Hokusai drawings on it too!
Everyone remembers him for that wave but IMO Hokusai is the greatest Japanese cartoonist of all time.

I wish that kind of stuff would become fashionable again.
