I always loved how animals in early Disney shorts would inflate then get all skinny when they made a noise, like hey did in Skeleton Dance and this one. Some of the mad animations in this toon are supreb.
Yeah, this cartoon is crazy. Lots of things that Disney didn't continue in later cartoons - like the visual morph gag when all three animals smush into each other, or the bit when Mickey lands on the ground smushed and morphs back to normal, or the part where his nose seperates from his face as a "take"!

A lot of this cartoon was animated by Les Clark. He was Iwerks' assistant.
