I hope these Oswald toys become available!

What a great character!

It's exciting, of course, that Disney will release Oswald cartoons on a future Disney DVD set....

... but what about the Lantz Oswald's!!!! The handful of Lantz Oswald's I've seen are hysterical. Everything a cartoon is supposed to be.

Hi Max - I'm not sure who owns the Lantz Oswalds, all I know is that they sure are difficult to find.... I wonder where all the Oswald screengrabs came from in the Lantz-o-pedia? The films must exist somewhere!

I can't believe you finally posted Mr. Deckter. Wow Disney is releasing Oswald on DVD? Exciting. I wonder how it'll look on Blue Ray though :D

I'm pretty sure Universal still owns the Lantz cartoons even though Disney owns the character now. Look for some Lantz Oswalds on the Woody Woodpecker and Friends set that Jerry Beck convinced them to release. It's suppose to come out in July. Glad to see you posting again.

Sadly it looks as though the Lantz Oswald's are stuck in limbo now that Disney owns the character, but Universal still own those sorts. I'd really like to see them, myself. Can't wait for he Oswald DVD, and I want those toys badly!

Any idea where the Lantz Owalds could be downloaded from possibly?

I'm trying to study Bill Nolans animation in them, but I've only managed to find the 1927-28 disney shorts.
